Pantomime Time

On 18th March Norwich Writers’ Circle welcomed back Lynne Mortimer to adjudicate our Pantomime Script Competition.

During a fun-filled evening the Eastern Daily Press columnist and humorist commented how much she had enjoyed reading all our competition entries – highlighting their very high standard across the board. Lynne went on to say that the entrants had met her requirements and followed her recommendations carefully, without losing sight of our own creativity.

After hearing Lynne’s Top 5 Moments & Jokes from the entries, the competition winners were then announced as:

1st – The Colin Sutton Cup For Humour – Dick Whittington by Sally Newton

2nd – Cinderella by Maureen Nisbet

3rd – Jack And The Beanstalk by Paul Taylor

Everyone present during this well-attended meeting then took part in reading the various competition entries. These performances then led to much hilarity and laughter within our writing group.

NWC next meets on 1st April when best-selling children’s and teenage author Alexander Gordon Smith will be joining us at The Assembly House.
