WordPress Gill Blanchard Portrait

Congratulations to Norwich Writers’ Circle member Gill Blanchard, who has been interviewed for an Eastern Daily Press feature.

The EDP’s two page feature was included in the Weekend edition of the paper dated 18th May 2013. In the feature Gill discusses her role as a leading social historian and how much she enjoys carrying out research for various projects.

The feature also mentions Gill’s latest book, which was recently launched at an event at Jarrolds. Tracing Your House History is a compact and practical handbook for anyone who wants to find out the history of their house. In a series of concise, information-filled chapters Gill shows you how to gain an insight into the lives of your house’s previous residents, and how to fit it into the wider history of your neighbourhood.

In addition to the above Tracing Your House History has also received several positive reviews, including Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine. In this review the book is described as easy-to-follow and inspiring for anyone interesting in pursuing their own project in this field.
