Kate Hardy: Modern Romance

On 5th February, following the cancellation of our previous meeting, Norwich Writers’ Circle finally welcomed author Kate Hardy to The Assembly House.

Kate, who writes Modern Romances for Mills & Boon, discussed her career to date, and how she discovered her love of writing at a young age.

During a highly enjoyable and very informative evening Kate also set the latest NWC in-house Competition. To packed Sexton Room the author, who has had over 50 books published in the 12 years, outlined her recommendations for writing a Modern Romance for Mills & Boon. The honest outline, featuring Kate’s recommendations, has now been circulated amongst our members.

The fun-filled night finished with a humorous Q&A session.

We next meet on 19th February when NWC vice-chairman Sean Hindle will be holding a workshop on Humour. Please note, this meeting is also being combined with a Manuscript Evening. See you there.
