Amanda Addison Adjudication

WordPress Amanda Addison

Following the UNESCO City Of Literature reception at Blackfriars Hall, Amanda Addison returned to Norwich Writers’ Circle on 4th December to adjudicate Competition One – Writing The Visual.

During the adjudication, which followed a short and very well-attended Manuscript Evening, the author and artist commented how much she had enjoyed reading our competition entries. Amanda also stated how pleased she was to see how her remit was explored in a number of different and interesting ways by all the entrants.

The competition winners were then announced as:

1st – The Virgin Mary’s Nose – by Anatasia Pope

2nd – A Thousand Stitches – by Victoria Bartlett

3rd –  Intricate Wheels And Cogs – by Diana Wilson

After hearing the winning entry, which proved popular with Circle members, a general discussion regarding ideas raised by the competition took place. It is hoped that we will be hearing the remaining winning stories at another Manuscript Evening.

We next meet on 15th December for our annual Christmas Celebration. We look forward to seeing you there.
